Veljko Malbasa, Ph.D., is a Professor of Computer Engineering and Director of the Department of Power, Electronics and Telecommunications, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He managed and coordinated over 30 national and international research projects. He spent 7 (seven) years as a Visiting Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Washington State University, Pullman, USA, and 2 (two) semesters a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Computer Technology, Vienna University of Technology, Austria. He is currently completing design and development of distributed wireless control system for power consumption and supply to enable energy positive buildings (European project SmartCoDe, funded under FP7 research program).
